*weakly* Ah, yes, the cliffhanger. The Great and Mighty Authoress, helpless and alone, at the mercy of reality or fate or whatever.

(She holds up her hand, which is turning transparent, and eyes it lazily once before letting it flop down beside her.)

...I hate this feeling.

(She continues to look at the a nearly cloudless sky, not blinking, as if she's actually focused something else entirely.)

*staring* Why...why do I have to remember that, when I've forgotten almost everything else...

(She holds up her hand once again. This time, it has returned to normal.)

*sitting up and stretching* Just the usual ritual.

Xelloss (pouts): Now? But I brought friends to play with you!

Gwendolyn (bouncing in): Hi~~! Are you strong? Will you play with me? Can you be my minion?

Brass (facepalm): Will you please stop that already?

*blank look* And she is...?

Xelloss: Miss Gwendolyn, the newest RL arrival to Ijishi! My, your memory really is as bad as your reputation claims. ^_^;

Oh, right. *points suddenly* Hey, what's that over there?

(Instinctively, everyone turns in the direction that Dot has pointed.)

*disappearing* Yoink!

Gwendolyn (starting to look a little scary): She's...gone...

I dunno why I did that...it was just totally arbitrary. ^^;

I'm sure I can come up with a sufficiently "deep and complex" reason later, though. ;p
