[Scene: EGC]

*On a deserted street in EGC, snow has covered all of the ground and piling high, except for one area where a covered mound sticks out.*

Stein: I guess this is it. *he walks up to the mound and nudges it with his boot -- nothing happens* Yup...

*Stein pulls out his electronic voice recorder and speaks into it*

Stein: Time of dissolution *checks his watch* 11:42pm

*Stein puts his recorder away and bends over the mound. He brushes off the snow. Underneath was Dare, possibly dead*

Stein: *hefting the body over his shoulder* Let's go...

*blurry*

*blurry*

*less blurry*

*shape of a person's face*

*person is female, wearing glasses*

Mistral: Good, you're awake.

Dare: Ugh...

*Mistral is a young woman with green, shoulder length hair with a lock of yellow. She has big, round glasses and is wearing a lab coat.*

Dare: Where.. ?

Mistral: Welcome to Core Station 3. We're lucky we sent Stein to watch after you or you wouldn't be here.

*In the corner, Stein is leaning against the wall and busy tapping stuff into a PDA*

Dare: Core Station 3? *he props himself upright* EGC?

Mistral: *laughs* Oh, not EGC. EGC is covered in snow and you would have likely died had you stayed. No, Core Station 3 is near the core of the planet where it's still warm. Hence the name.

*A wave of nausea passes over Dare noticeably*

Mistral: You really should rest. It will take some time to re-adjust but no one will bother you here.

Dare: Re-adjust?

Mistral: *serious face* Of course. You no longer have your RL powers. The snow has seen to that, I'm afraid.

Dare: !!

*Mistral and Stein leave the room*

*In another part of Core Station 3 is Mistral's office where she is busy looking over some data on her laptop. The room is rather dark and when the door opens, it is not certain who walked in.*

Guest: Any news?

Mistral: Yes, he's awakened. *she reaches into her drawer and pulls out a blue canister with some venting pipes and an electronic keypad* But there wasn't much to extract. *she tosses him the canister*

Guest: ... he's new. I wouldn't expect much. But the other three.. it should be abundant.

Mistral: Their readings are off the chart!

Guest: Prep the other stations. *he tosses the canister back* Use this as sample data for your testing.

Mistral: Hai.

*The door opens and the mysterious guest leaves. Mistral looks at the canister again.*

Mistral: Huh--?

Too lazy to bother with colors...
