I believe…

• that the Bible is the Word of God, and that “all Scripture is God-breathed”. (2 Timothy 3:16)
• that God exists, and that He is, among other things, omnipresent, omnipotent, omniscient, holy, and compassionate. I believe in the triune God: the Father, the Son, and the Spirit, three yet one, one yet three.I believe that God created the universe, the Earth, and all living beings, as well as mankind in His own image.
• that “all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.” (Romans 3:23) I believe that despite this, God in his love prepared a way for us to be acceptable in his sight. I believe that because no suitable atonement could be made by man He sent His son Jesus, born of the virgin Mary in accordance to the Word given to His prophets. I believe that Jesus died on the cross in obedience to God, was buried, and rose again on the third day, presenting Himself to the disciples in a tangible, physical body as a firstfruit for the eventual resurrection of all saints (1 Corinthians 15:20), giving us salvation that is free to all who are willing to receive it, so that salvation is “by grace, through faith”. (Ephesians 2:8)
• that “faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.” (Hebrews 11:1) . I believe that it is my duty to share this faith with others in a gracious manner, living out a life that draws people to Christ.
• that my faith is a living, growing relationship with the Lord of the universe. I believe that one day this world will end, but a new heavens and new earth shall be created in its stead, and I will see God face to face.
